PITTSBURG, Kansas – The Ouachita women's indoor track & field team opened the 2024-25 season with five new school records at the Pittsburg State Boo Rogers Combined Events and the Crimson and Gold Invitational this weekend.
No team scores were recorded this past weekend, but the Tigers fared well going up against Division I and top Division II talent.
Belle Lindsey set two new school records over the weekend. Lindsey set a new record in the pentathlon with a score of 3213 points, finishing ninth and breaking her own previous record by over 100 points. The DeQueen, Arkansas native also set a school record in the high jump with a height of 1.57 meters (5' 1") to break her previous record by 0.04 meters.
Anna Woolsey also broke two program records in Kansas. Woolsey placed 10
th in the 60m Dash with a record time of 7.70, breaking her previous record by 0.13 seconds. The Ozark, Arkansas native also set a new 200m record, placing second in the race with a time of 24.89, beating her own record by 0.30 seconds. Woolsey also placed sixth in the 400m with a time of 56.92.
Rachel Dunn set a new record in the triple jump with a distance of 11.07 meters (36' 3.75"), breaking her previous record by 0.32 meters.
The Tigers will take a Christmas break before getting back to action in 2025 when they travel to compete in the Samford Open on January 18 in Birmingham, Alabama.
