ARKADELPHIA – The 23rd-ranked Ouachita men's tennis team moved to 3-0 this spring with a 6-1 victory over Midwestern State on Saturday at home.
The Tigers started by earning the doubles point with wins coming in second position from fourth-ranked
Phil Exner and
Alex Blanchar and in the third position from
Elias Lagger and
Aaron Osmond.
In singles, Ouachita won the first five positions, including the match clincher from
Fernando Docters in third position over MSU's Luis Diaz Argente, ranked 15th in the nation. In addition to Docters, 13th-ranked Exner won in first position, Blanchar won in second,
Ramon Strassmann won in fourth position, and
Moritz Buss won in fifth position.
Ouachita plans to hit the outdoor courts on Sunday to take on No. 24 Mississippi College. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
