ADA, Oklahoma – The Ouachita softball team dropped the final game of the series to East Central by the score of 12-3 Saturday afternoon.
East Central took control of the game early with an eight-run first inning and added two more runs in the second inning for a 10-0 early lead.
Riley Gillis broke up the no-hit bid with a single in the third inning.
Erin Williams led off the top of the fourth with a solo home run to put Ouachita on the board.
Karley Burrow added a two RBI double that scored
Katelyn Provence and
Remington Adams to cut into ECU's lead. East Central added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth and Ouachita fell by the final score of 12-3.
Burrow went 1-for-2 at the plate with two RBI.
Williams went 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI on a solo home run.
Hannah Hunter got the start in the circle and earned the loss.
The Tigers will look to get back on track on Tuesday, March 19 when they host the Mustangs of Central Baptist College in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. in Arkadelphia.
