MAGNOLIA, Arkansas – The Ouachita Softball team fell in the series finale against the Southern Arkansas Muleriders by the score of 7-1 Saturday afternoon on the road.
Ouachita's third and final game of the series against Southern Arkansas University saw the Muleriders jump out to an early lead with two runs in the first. SAU added runs in the third, fourth, and sixth innings while holding the Tigers off the board until the top of the seventh.
Remington Adams tallied her second RBI of the weekend, scoring
Maggi Huddleston on an RBI single to give Ouachita its first run of the game. But this would be it for the Tigers as they fell by the final score of 7-1 in Magnolia.
Adams was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with an RBI.
Lauren Lester went 2-for-3 at the plate in the loss. Lester and Adams were the two Tigers to tally multiple hits in the game, accounting for five of the Tigers' seven hits.
The Tigers will look to get back on track when they host the third-place Harding Bisons in a three-game GAC series starting Friday, April 5 at Langston Field. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. in Arkadelphia.
