WOMEN POST 15 TOP 10 FINISHES AND FIVE RECORDS OVER WEEKEND

ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita women's track team divided and conquered, competing in the Texas State Bobcat Invitational and the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational over the weekend.
 
Oklahoma Baptist Invitational – Shawnee, Oklahoma
 
The majority of the Tiger Track team made the trip to Oklahoma to compete in the OKBU Invite that took place on Friday and Saturday. There were no team scores for this meet, but the Tigers faired well against talent from some of the top Division II programs in the country, including those from fellow Great American Conference schools.
 
Ouachita tallied 15 top 10 finishes and set three school records in Oklahoma.
 
Izzi Breaux was the highest finisher for the Tigers, taking second place in the 800m and setting a new school record with a time of 2:14.90, missing first place by just 0.42 seconds and breaking the previous record by almost two seconds.
 
Alysha Colburn placed third in the Pole Vault with a record-setting height of 2.65m (8' 2.25.")
 
Rachel Dunn took third in the long jump with a record-setting distance of 5.70m (18' 8.50"), breaking the previous record set last season by nine inches. Dunn also placed fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 11.12m (36' 5.75.")
 
Other top 10 finishers for Ouachita were:
  • Macie Cash took fifth in the 1500m with a time of 4:44.90.
  • Ashley Dillman finished sixth in the 400m Dash with a time of 1:00.25.
  • Brenlee Leonard placed seventh in Shot Put with a distance of 11.93m (39' 1.75").
  • Addison Skelton placed seventh in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 15.66.
  • Mackenzie Davis finished eighth in the 1500m with a time of 4:48.87.
  • Ellie Hoemann took ninth in the 800m with a time of 2:21.62.
  • Katelynn Nachtigal placed ninth in the 1500m with a time of 4:49.26.
  • Addrienna Gray took 10th in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 16.22.
  • Taylor Koeth finished 10th in the 5000m with a time of 19:15.37.
  • Emily Paynes took 10th in the Javelin Throw with a distance of 27.76m (91' 1").
  • Alexis Perry placed 10th in the 400m Dash with a time of 1:02.03.
 
 
Texas State Bobcat Invitational – San Marcos, Texas
 
A small group of Tigers traveled to Texas to take part in the Texas State Bobcat Invitational that ran from Thursday through Saturday in San Marcos. No team scores were recorded, but Ouachita competed well against Division I talent.
 
Two school records were set at the Bobcat Invite.
 
Belle Lindsey set a new school record in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 1:03.92, breaking her previous record by more than a second to place 17th behind mostly Division I opponents.
 
The 4x400m Relay squad of Anna Woolsey, Laynie White, Jaci McGregor, and Lindsey broke the school record with a time of 3:58.64 to place 15th.

 
The Tigers will be back in action this weekend at the Bison Open, hosted by Harding University on Saturday, April 6 in Searcy, Arkansas.
