SEARCY, Arkansas – The Ouachita women's track and field team recorded 10 top 10 finishes and three new school records at the 2024 Bison Open on Saturday.
No team scores were recorded at the Bison Open, but the Tigers competed well against solid competition that included top nationally ranked DII programs and Division I teams.
Three school records were broken at the Harding meet:
Belle Lindsey set two records at the Bison Open. Lindsey placed third in the 100m Hurdles with a record time of 14.79. The DeQueen, Arkansas native set a school record in the high jump with a height of 1.57m (5' 1.75") and tied for ninth in the event.
Anna Woolsey set a new record in the 400m and placed second in the event with a record-breaking time of 57.48. Woolsey also finished eighth in the 200m with a time of 25.64.
The Tigers racked up top 10 finishes, those high performing Tigers were:
- Jaci McGregor took third in the 800m with a time of 2:19.09.
- Lucy Holden placed fourth in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 12:04.65.
- Ashley Dillman placed eighth in the 400m with a time of 1:00.29.
- Addison Skelton took eighth in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 15.56.
- Emmeline Burrow finished ninth in the 1500m with a time of 5:05.67.
- Brenlee Leonard placed 10th in the shot put with a distance of 12.05m (39' 6.5")
- The 4x100m Relay squad of Addrienna Gray, Woolsey, Lindsey, and Rachel Dunn placed second in the event with a time of 50:30, placing only behind UALR's squad.
The Tigers will be heading south next weekend to compete in the Stephen F. Austin Carl Knight Invitational in Nacogdoches, Texas from Thursday, April 11 through Saturday, April 13.
