ARKADELPHIA – Four student-athletes from the Ouachita men's tennis team have been selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Alex Blanchar, Fernando Docters, Aaron Osmond, and Ramon Strassmann are the Tigers honored as top performers on the court and in the classroom.

Requirements for the honor include having reached at least sophomore academic standing, be a starter or significant contributor on the court, and carry at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average.

Blanchar, from Spain, and Docters, from Argentina, graduated this past Saturday, both earning bachelor's degrees in business administration. Osmond is a sophomore from Australia majoring in kinesiology. Strassmann is a sophomore from Switzerland, majoring in finance and business administration.

Blanchar, who was selected as the MIAA/GAC Player of the Year this season, has been selected as a finalist for the CSC Academic All-America Team, which will be announced in June. He earned Academic All-America honors last year as a junior.
