GREENWOOD, Indiana – Ouachita Baptist University women's soccer student-athlete
Madi Vana has been selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Second Team, adding to her lengthy list of honors for the 2025 season.
Vana becomes just the second-ever CSC Academic All-America honoree in program history. The Celina, Texas native is set to graduate this spring with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She carries a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average and is a two-time winner of the Great American Conference Elite Scholar Athlete Award.
In addition to her academic success, Vana was also Ouachita's top honoree this season for her performance on the pitch. She was voted as the GAC Midfielder of the Year and earned a spot on the All-GAC First Team. She was also selected to the GAC Championship All-Tournament Team.
For her Ouachita career, Vana played 62 games and made 46 starts, logging just under 3,700 minutes of playing time. She scored 12 career goals and had three career assists. She led the Tigers in 2025 with eight goals, including five game-winners.
Vana is the only student-athlete representing the GAC on this year's CSC Academic All-America women's soccer teams.
