BASEBALL WINS SNU SERIES

BETHANY, Oklahoma – The Ouachita baseball team earned a road Great American Conference series win over Southern Nazarene with a pair of lop-sided victories on Saturday.

The Tigers and Crimson Storm resumed Friday's suspended game to start the busy day with Tigers rolling to a 16-3, eight-inning victory. The two squads then played a double header starting with a seven-inning game, which SNU came away with a 10-0 win before Ouachita responded with a 13-1 win in the finale in eight innings.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
The Tigers recorded a season-high 15 hits, highlighted by two doubles, one homerun, and four triples. Isaac Nowell and Gavin Jacobs each had four hits in the win. Three of Nowell's hits were triples. Garrett Graham, Jaxson Jester, and Joseph Bolin all had two hits each. Kyzer Smith (1-2) earned the win after tossing all five innings of Saturday's portion of the game, keeping SNU scoreless on only two hits.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
SNU put up crooked numbers in each of the first two innings to jump out to a big lead early. The Crimson Storm finished with 10 runs on eight hits. The Tigers were limited to just two hits in the game. SNU pitcher Christian Garcia faced only one batter over the minimum in his complete-game shutout.

GAME THREE HIGHLIGHTS

The Tigers reached double-digits again in the series finale with 13 runs on 10 hits. Garrett Graham went 2-for-5, both hits clearing the fence. His first was a solo homerun, and his second was a three-run shot. Joseph Bolin went 3-for-4, including a double and a triple. Reece McWilliams went 2-for-3. Chase Oberle (5-2), who started game one on Friday, started game three and earned the win, giving up just one run on four hits with five strikeouts in the first 5.2 innings. Austin Bagnall and Tag Pacot combined to keep the Storm hitless in the final two innings.

The Tigers are back home for the next two weeks. Next weekend, Ouachita welcomes Oklahoma Baptist for a three-game GAC series at Rab Rodgers Field.
