LIVINGSTON, Alabama – The Ouachita men's tennis team opened its Spring Break road trip on Saturday with a 6-1 loss to West Alabama.
UWA started with doubles wins on courts one and two to take the 1-0 lead into singles. Ouachita's
Yarin Aebi and
Aaron Osmond prevented the doubles sweep with a win on court three over the 43rd-ranked doubles duo in the nation.
Ramon Strassmann accounted for Ouachita's only point with a win at No. 2 singles that needed a tiebreaker. Mortiz Buss and
Tinus Mueller each forced a tiebreaker at No. 4 and No. 6, respectively.
The purple Tigers head to South Carolina for a pair of matches against NCAA Division I opponents, taking on The Citadel on Wednesday and Wofford on Thursday.
