DENTON, Texas – The Ouachita women's tennis team started its spring break on Tuesday with a 6-1 neutral-site victory over Weatherford College, the seventh-ranked junior college team in the nation

The Tigers swept through doubles for the 1-0 lead heading into singles. The duos of Alice Kubler and Karli Gay and Jenny Pfaefflin and Ali May won in straight sets on courts one and two. Sadbaroy Kholdarova and Natalia Zamora Caprirolo completed the sweep with a tiebreaker win on court one over the seventh-ranked doubles team at the junior college level.

Ouachita won on five of the six courts in singles, including convincing wins for Anastasia Myachina at No. 3 and Karli Gay at No. 6. Pfaefflin had a tough win at No. 5. Kholdarova and May each rallied from losing the first set to win in tiebreakers at No. 1 and No. 4, respectively.

Next for the Tigers is a matchup against Texas-Dallas this Friday, March 28 in Richardson.
