FORT SMITH, Arkansas – The Great American Conference has revealed its women's basketball all-conference teams and special award winners for the 2024-25 season with Ouachita's Madeleine Tipton earning two honors.

Tipton has been selected to the All-GAC Honorable Mention Team for the second straight season and is also one of six recipients of the league's prestigious elite scholar athlete award.

The junior from Vilonia, Arkansas led the Tigers and ranked eighth in the GAC this season in scoring with 360 points for an average of 14.4 per game. She reached double digits in scoring in 19 games this and scored at least 20 points in five different games. She scored a season-high 27 points in December against Harding.

In addition her performance on the court, Tipton has also earned her second straight GAC Elite Scholar Athlete Award, which is presented to the student-athletes in each sport that have the highest cumulative GPA and at least 70 completed hours.

Tipton carries a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA in pursuit of a degree in kinesiology and education. The straight-A student has been selected to the Ouachita President's List in all five semesters attended so far. She was also selected to the Academic All-District Team presented by College Sports Communicators last year as a sophomore.

Also recognized in the end of year awards is the 2024-25 GAC Academic Honor Roll. Tipton is joined by teammates Joey Babel, Heidi Robinson, Aubrey Henderson, and Kerolene dos Santos as student-athletes with at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA in at least their second year of college.
