WOMEN BREAK TWO RECORDS IN SEARCY

SEARCY, Arkansas – The Ouachita women's track and field team posted two school records and an event win at the combined Harding Invitational and Multi this weekend on the road.
 
No team scores were kept between the two meets hosted by Harding University. The Tigers competed well against GAC members in Harding and Southeastern Oklahoma State, fellow DII members Lane College and Cameron and other programs ranging from DIII, NAIA, and Junior Colleges.
 
Belle Lindsey won the Heptathlon with a NCAA Provisional and school record score of 4600 points, winning the event by a margin of 335 points and breaking her previous record by 59 points.
 
Charley Stallings set a school record in the Pole Vault with a third-place height of 3.05m (10'), breaking the previous record she set last week by 0.10m. Stallings also placed seventh in the Heptathlon.
 
Anna Woolsey took second place in the 200m with a time of 25.02, 0.29 seconds out of first place. Woolsey also placed second in the 400m with a time of 57.81, missing first place by 0.09 seconds.
 
Brenlee Leonard placed third in the Shot Put with a distance of 11.92m (39' 1.25").
 
Laynie White finished third in the Heptathlon with a score of 4199 points.
 
Addrienna Gay took fourth in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 15:56, 0.40 seconds out of first. Gray also finished fifth in the 400m with a time of 1:01.49, less than a second out of third.
 
Also in the 100m Hurdles, Bella Maxon finished fifth (15.90) and was followed by Addison Skelton in sixth with a time of 15:96.
 
Angie Rojas placed fifth in the long jump with a distance of 5.13m (16' 10"). Rojas also finished eighth in the 100m Dash with a time of 12.75, 0.58 seconds out of first.
 
Also in the Long Jump, Rachel Dunn placed sixth (5.02m), Mariah Whittle took eighth (4.98m), and Reyna Rogers placed tenth (4.90m).
 
Ashlynn Hecht took eighth in the Heptathlon with a score of 2876 points.
 
Rylee Walker finished eighth in the 1500m with a time of 5:05.60.
 
Hannah McGuire placed ninth in the 800m with a time of 2:31.58.
 
The 4x100m Relay team of Gray, Woolsey, Rojas, and Dunn placed third with a time of 48.57, 0.47 seconds out of first place.
 
The Tigers will be back in action next week when they compete in the Rhodes College Invitational on March 14-15 in Memphis, Tennessee.
