KANSAS CITY, Missouri – Ouachita men's basketball graduate
MJ Leslie has been recognized for his academic success with a spot on the 2024-25 NABC Honors Court.
The National Association of Basketball Coaches honors junior, senior, and graduate student men's basketball players each year that have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Over the past two seasons, Leslie was a two-time selection to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team and a two-time pick for the Great American Conference Academic Honor Roll. The Little Elm, Texas native was also a two-time member of the All-Ouachita Team as men's basketball's most outstanding scholar athlete. He graduated from Ouachita this past May with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology.
Leslie aided the Tigers this past season to one of the most successful years in program history with a final record of 22-8. Overall for his Ouachita career, he played in 56 games and averaged 7.3 points per game.
