BENTONVILLE, Arkansas – The Great American Conference announced its all-conference softball teams and yearly award winners on Wednesday ahead of the league's championship tournament starting Thursday.
Ouachita received three selections to the all-conference teams with senior second baseman
Remington Adams and junior outfielder
Emily Reed earning first team honors and sophomore pitcher
Catie Amador making the honorable mention squad.
Adams is earning her first career all-conference honor after a breakout senior season. The Farmington, Arkansas native leads the team in batting average (.325), total hits (54), and stolen bases (10). She is second on the squad in doubles (nine), triples (three), and slugging percentage (.748).
Reed is amid a record-breaking season in her junior campaign, currently holding the program's single season record in home runs with 19, which leads the GAC and ranks second nationally this season. The Benton, Arkansas native is second in the league in slugging percentage (.748) and total bases (116).
Amador ranks in the top 10 of nine different GAC pitching stat categories this season. The Burleson, Texas native has 10 wins this year, a 2.67 ERA, 13 complete games, four shutouts, and two saves. She also tossed the sixth no-hitter in program history earlier this season in a 7-0 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State at home.
