ARKADELPHIA- No. 17 Ouachita Baptist made easy work of Southeastern Oklahoma State in non-conference men's tennis action, winning 5-2 at the Heflin Tennis Center on Monday.
The Tigers (8-7) finished 2-1 in doubles play and 3-1 in shortened-singles action. Among the victories in doubles play included a strong effort from senior
Till Heilshorn and sophomore
Tobias Kuhlmann with a 8-3 win over the Savage Storm duo of Alejandro Argumedo and Sean Cobble at the No. 1 spot. Freshman
Ramon Abaitua and Teodor Anghel took down Felipe Pimenta and Jonathan Rodriguez, 8-2, to give Ouachita a victory at the No. 2 spot, as well. At No. 3 doubles, Southeastern Oklahoma State won by default.
In singles play, No. 7 Kuhlmann made easy work of Argumedo at the No. 1 spot, 6-3, 7-5, while No. 33 Heilshorn swept Cobble at No. 2, 6-0, 6-0. Ouachita freshman
Ernesto Laborda made it back-to-back sweeps in singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Devon Lindsey of Southeastern Oklahoma State at No. 5, while the Savage Storm won at No. 6 by default.
Ouachita returns to action for their regular season finale in a Gulf South Conference match against Harding on April 8 at the Heflin Tennis Center in Arkadelphia at 2 p.m.
