Box Score 2 ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- The Ouachita Tigers (14-11) took a doubleheader from McKendree University on Tuesday afternoon, walking away victorious in the first game by a score of 18-3 and taking the second game by a score of 6-3.
In game 1, the Tigers showed how powerful their offense can really be, scoring 18 runs in the seven inning contest. Five players finished the game with two runs batted in for the Tigers, with multiple players recording runs when they got on base. The Tigers posted five runs in the first inning, six runs in the third inning and another six runs in the fifth inning.
Kurt Peppenhorst took the win for Ouachita, throwing four innings and recording three strikeouts. Vincent Keifer took the loss for the Bearcats, giving up eight runs, seven of which were earned, in two innings on the mound. Ouachita posted their highest offensive total of the year so far, winning by a final of 18-3.
In the second game of the day, Ouachita's
Zac Treece took the victory after coming in to relieve
Paul White. Treece pitched 2.2 innings, recording three strikeouts and not giving up a run.
Keegan Ghidotti finished the game with a 3-of-4 peformance from the plate, including an RBI.
Landon Moore finished the game perfect from the plate, with a 3-of-3 performance, helping the Tigers to their 6-3 victory.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, when they travel to Durant, Oklahoma for a conference series with the Savage Storm. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sunday's doubleheader in Durant will begin at 1:00 p.m.
