Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- The Ouachita Tigers (15-17, 3-6 GAC) hosted the Southwestern Oklahoma State Bulldogs (16-8, 8-4 GAC) on Sunday for the third and final game of the weekend series after splitting the first two games of the series on Saturday. Ouachita fell behind early and was never able to really get anything going offensively, falling by a final score of 8-0 to the Bulldogs.
Ouachita's
Josh Everett started the game but was only on the mound for three innings after giving up four runs, all of which were earned.
Tom Ward finished the game with a 2-of-4 performance from the plate, accounting for half of the teams total hits.
McCrae Jones and
Landon Flax were the other two Tigers who finished the game with hits, both going 1-of-4 from the plate.
Shane Martin took the victory for Southwestern, pitching a complete game while only giving up four hits. Max Wheeler recorded four runs batted in, while Adam Gendall added three RBI's to the Bulldog's totals.
Ouachita returns to action on Saturday, March 21, when they travel to Monticello, Arkansas for a conference series with the Boll Weevils of Arkansas-Monticello. The games are slated to begin at noon.
