WEATHERFORD, Okla.- After dropping a pair of games on Saturday to the Bulldogs of Southwestern Oklahoma (25-8, 12-4 GAC), the Lady Tigers (14-19, 4-10 GAC) looked to rebound on Sunday, when they took on Southwestern in another doubleheader. Sadly, the Lady Tigers were unable to overcome Southwestern, and dropped both of the games that took place on Sunday.
In the first game of the afternoon, the Lady Tigers recorded more hits than the Bulldogs, but were unable to get anyone across home plate. Southwestern scored the only run of their 1-0 victory in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Rayn House fell to 8-8 with the loss, throwing a solid six innings and recording four strikeouts while only giving up three hits and a single run. Five different players finished with hits for the Lady Tigers, accounting for their five hits in the contest. Katie Raines recorded her second win of the weekend for Southwestern, pitching seven innings and only giving up five hits. The Lady Tigers left six runners on base during the game.
In the second game of the afternoon and final game of the weekend series, the Lady Tigers dropped a 4-1 game, struggling to get offensive production. The Lady Tigers only posted three hits in the game, their only run coming when

Nicole Wilganowski started the game, falling to 0-2 on the season, while pitching 4.1 innings and giving up 10 hits and four runs, three of which were earned. Askew,
Brianne Baley and
Jocelyn Jones accounted for the Lady Tigers three hits. Katrina Johnson took the victory for Southwestern, pitching a complete game while only giving up three hits and a run. Kori Oord finished the game with two runs batted in for the Bulldogs, accounting for half of Southwestern's runs.
The Lady Tigers return to action on Saturday, March 31 when they host nationally ranked Arkansas-Monticello for a weekend series at Sully Anderson Field. Games will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
