ADA, Okla.- Although the game had to be moved back an hour due to overnight weather, the pair of Tigers from Ouachita Baptist (4-4-1, 1-0 GAC) and East Central University (4-6, 0-1 GAC) were able to complete nine innings of action on Saturday, as the Ouachita Tigers recorded a 6-1 win in their first dose of Great American Conference action..
The day belonged to the Ouachita Tigers, as they notched six runs throughout the game before East Central finally got a run on the board in the bottom of the ninth.

Chris Tavares notched an RBI single, scoring
Duncan Collins and setting the tone for the rest of the day.
From then on they continued to chip away, as they recorded a run in the third, a run in the fifth and then three more runs in the sixth to capture the win.
Austin Watson took the win on the mound for the Tigers, throwing seven innings deep and holding the opposing Tigers scoreless while ringing up five strikeouts.
The win marks the third straight for Ouachita, and the first of the very young conference season. They continue conference play tomorrow, as they take on East Central in a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for noon in Ada.
