ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- The Ouachita Lady Tigers notched a series split with visiting Southern Nazarene University on Saturday afternoon, splitting the final pair of the teams conference series with each other. The Lady Tigers dropped the first game 14-6 before taking the second game of the afternoon by a score of 6-4.
In the first game of the day, Southern Nazarene (7-10, 2-6 GAC) used a huge fourth inning to run away the game. They started the game with a run in the second inning, but the Lady Tigers (9-16, 3-5 GAC) answered with two runs in the third.
The Crimson Storm put up nine runs in the fourth inning though, giving themselves a fairly comfortable 10-2 lead. Ouachita would score another run in the bottom half of the fourth, cutting the deficit to seven before a two-run sixth inning from Southern Nazarene gave them a 12-3 lead.
Three runs from the Lady Tigers in the sixth put them down by just six runs, but Southern Nazarene really put the game away in the seventh with two more runs, making the score 14-6.
