WEATHERFORD, Okla.- The Ouachita Tiger baseball team continued their Great American Conference schedule on Friday afternoon, traveling to Weatherford, Oklahoma to match up with the Bulldogs of Southwestern Oklahoma. The Tigers suffered a pair of losses on the afternoon, with the first coming by a score of 9-0 and the second coming by a score of 1-0.
The Tigers fell in the first game due to the fact that they were only able to put together five hits. Southwestern scored two runs in the third inning and three runs in the fourth, giving them a five run lead after four innings.
They then scored another four runs in the eighth, stretching their lead to nine runs.
Landon Moore was the only Ouachita player to put together more than one hit, as he finished 2-of-3 from the plate.

Duncan Collins and
Keegan Ghidotti all recorded hits as well, with each player recording one.
The second game of the afternoon found the Tigers in a defensive battle. The Tigers held the Bulldogs scoreless until the sixth inning, when an error allowed a runner to score, which would eventually be the game winning run.
The Tigers outhit Southwestern, recording four hits to SWOSU's two, but they again fell.
Davis Ward was credited with the loss after throwing a solid six innings in which he recorded three strikeouts and only gave up two hits. He didn't give up any earned runs in the contest.
The Tigers and Bulldogs will take to the field again on Saturday, when they face off in a single nine inning game. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
