OBU's Late Comeback Not Enough in Loss

Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- Freshman Macy Nantz pitched a solid seven innings on Sunday, but it wasn't enough to pull out a win against Lincoln University, as the Ouachita Tigers fell 3-2.

Sam Kircher helped Lincoln score early in the game with a home run, which brought in two runs. Kircher later hit another home run in the third inning leaving the sore 3-0.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Ouachita's Kate Lacina hit a double allowing Parrish Reed to get a run on the board for the Lady Tigers.

Brianne Baley started a rally for the Tigers in the bottom of the seventh after singling to right field. Parrish Reed followed with a double, and then Macy Nantz singled to score pinch-runner Taylor Anderson, putting the score at 3-2. Lincoln escaped the jam, however, recording the third out and ending the game 3-2.

The Tigers (2-3) will travel to Wichita, Kan. on Friday, Feb. 14, to take on Newman University in a Valentine's Day double-header. Games are scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
