Tigers Winless in Durant.

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers went 0-3 in Durant, Okla. this weekend after being swept by Southeastern Oklahoma State. Ouachita is now 8-7 overall, and 3-3 in the Great American Conference. Two of the Tiger losses were by one run.

Tiger ace Davis Ward got the start on Friday. Ward held a 6-1 lead heading into the bottom of the ninth. After retiring the lead-off batter, Ward allowed two base runners and gave up an RBI single. With the lead cut to four and two runners on, Keegan Ghidotti was brought into the game in relief. Southeastern would score four more runs before being retired, tying the game at 6-6. Southeastern would score on a sacrifice fly in the 11th to win 7-6.

Ward (3-0) was charged with 4 earned runs over 8.1 innings. He struck out four and walked one. Ghidotti (0-1) took the loss, his first of the season.

Landon Moore went 3-4 with a run and a RBI. Chris Tavares and Parker Norris each went 2-6 and scored a run.

Game one of Saturday's doubleheader ended ina 3-0 loss for the Tigers. Savage Storm starter Canyon Conley pitched a two-hit complete game shutout. Conley struck out nine.

Luis De Jesus (2-1) took his first loss of 2014 despite striking out a season-high nine batters. Matt Sinclair and Parker Norris got the Tigers' only hits.

Craig Daniell got the start for game two. Daniell left in the bottom of sixth with a 2-0 lead, thanks to RBI singles by Evan Ruiz and Justin Weigel. Daniell gave up a two-out single and hit the next batter, forcing the Tigers to go to the bullpen. Josh Reeves came into the game in relief.

The Tigers committed two errors allowing three runs, all unearned, to score and give Southeastern a 3-2 lead heading into the final inning.

Landon Moore led off the top half of the seventh with a single to right, but a pop-up and double-play ground ball killed the chances for a Tiger rally. Reeves (2-1) took the loss for the Tigers.

Evan Ruiz, Will Wallace and Landon Moore each had two hits in the game.

The Tigers travel to Magnolia, Ark. next Friday fir a three-game series against the fourth-ranked Muleriders of Southern Arkansas. Friday's game is set for 6:00 pm.
