Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers hosted a doubleheader against the Southern Arkansas Lady Muleriders on Friday, winning the first game 10-8 on a walk-off grand slam by Jocelyn Jones. The Tigers lost the second game, however, 7-4.

In the first game, the two teams traded leads four times and were tied twice. In the bottom of the seventh inning, the Tigers, down 8-6, sent Teresa Mursuli to the plate. Mursuli led off the inning with a single, followed by another single by Kate Lacina. Parrish Reed then reached first on a fielder's choice, but Mursuli was thrown out on the force at third.

Brianne Baley followed up Reed with the third single of the inning, loading the bases with one out. After a strikeout gave the Tigers two outs in the inning, Jones stepped to the plate. With two outs and the bases loaded, Jones crushed a walk-off grand slam over the centerfield wall to steal the win for Ouachita.

Jones was 2-5 for the game, with three runs and four RBI's. Daniella Brantley also recorded multiple RBI's, going 1-4 with two RBI's. Mursuli led the team in hits, finishing the game at 3-4 and an RBI.

In the second game of the doubleheader, the Lady Muleriders jumped on top in the second inning, scoring two runs. The Tigers immediately answered, however, scoring four runs, highlighted by a two-run double by Suzie Gresham

Both teams were held scoreless for the next four innings, until Southern Arkansas scored two more runs with two outs in the top of the seventh to tie the game. After the Tigers could not score in the bottom of the seventh, the game went to an extra inning.

In the top of the eighth, Southern Arkansas scored on a three-run home run to take a 7-4 lead. In the bottom of the inning, the Tigers started with a double by Reed, followed by a Baley walk. Southern Arkansas was able to get three consecutive outs after, however, ending the game at 7-4.

Reed led the Tigers, hitting 3-4 with a run scored. Gresham added two RBI's, and Jones batted 2-3 with an RBI.

Shelby McWhorter earned the start for OBU in game two and threw for 7.2 innings. Frakes then came in relief, pitching for a third of an inning.
