Lady Tigers Fall Twice to Lady Bisons

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Harding Lady Bisons stole two games from the Ouachita Lady Tigers on Saturday, as the Lady Tigers lost 6-5 and 9-1.
 
The teams had to go all the way to an eighth inning in game one before a winner was decided. The Lady Bisons opened the scoring with two runs in the bottom of the first inning. Ouachita answered with a three-run second inning, highlighted by an RBI-single from Parrish Reed. Harding then scored one run in both the second and third inning to take a 4-3 lead.
 
In the top of the fifth, Kate Lacina homered to left field, scoring Kailey Madden and herself. Lacina's blast gave the Lady Tigers the lead once again before Harding tied the score at five in the seventh inning. In an extra inning of play, the Lady Tigers were held scoreless and Harding scored one run on a wild pitch to win the game.
 
Abbi Frakes was handed the loss for the Lady Tigers, as she pitched for the entire game. Lacina led Ouachita with two hits, including the homerun, and two RBI. Olivia Guin and Reed also added an RBI each.
 
In game two, the Lady Tigers scored first off an RBI-single from Madden in the third inning. After holding the Lady Bisons scoreless for the first three innings, Ouachita allowed Harding to score five runs in the bottom of the fourth. The Lady Bisons later added two runs in the fifth and two in the sixth. The 9-1 lead lasted until the end of the game.
 
Macy Nantz was handed the loss in game two, and Madden led Ouachita with two hits and one RBI.
 
The Lady Tigers (17-33, 12-24 GAC) will wrap up their regular season in Ada, Okla. with a four-game series against East Central beginning on April 25.
