Box Score 2 ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - After a season filled with injuries and adversity, the Lady Tigers softball team went out on a high note. Ouachita split a double header with East Central University, taking game two, 7-5. The win allowed the Lady Tigers to claim the final spot in the Great American Conference post season tournament. They will face top-seeded Southeastern Oklahoma on Thursday to open post-season play.
After losing the first game 8-0, Ouachita cam back in strong in game two. After being hold to only two hits in game one, the Lady Tiger offense exploded for 12 hits in game two.
Olivia Guin led the way going 3-4 with a run and a RBI. She was one of five Lady Tigers with multiple hits in the game.
Brianne Baley and
Suzie Gresham led the team in RBI for the game with two each.
Kailey Madden drove in the final run for Ouachita in the top of the seventh to put the game away.
Macy Nantz got the win in game two and
Abbi Frakes came into the game to get the save.
The Lady Tigers will face Southeastern Oklahoma on Thursday, May 1 at the Tiger Athletic Complex in Bentonville, Ark. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 pm. Live stats links will be available on the homepage of obutigers.com.
