Lady Tiger Split Doubleheader With Arkansas-Pine Bluff

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Lady Tigers faced off against the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff yesterday in Benton, Ark. for a neutral-site doubleheader. The two teams split the games, with the Lady Tigers winning game one 3-0 and UAPB taking game two, 2-1.

Abbi Frakes got the win in game one, pitching a complete game, two-hit shutout. Frakes (9-11) struckout two and walked none in the victory.

Daniella Brantley led off the second inning for Ouachita with a triple and scored the games first run on a sacrifice bunt by Kayley Willingham.

Kailey Madden drove in the other Tiger runs with RBI doubles in the third and sixth inning. She leads the team this season with 23 RBI.

Amber Oxford got the start in game two and took the loss, despite delivering an outstanding performance. She went the distance, allowing only six hits in seven innings and two runs. 

The Tigers lone run came in the fifth when Parrish Reed singled home Kate Lacina. Reed went  2-3 in the game. 

The Lady Tigers (12-24, 7-15) will travel to Bethany, Okla. this weekend to face conference-foe Southern Nazarene (12-23, 6-16). The doubleheader on Friday begins at 2:00 pm.
