Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers hot-hitting freshman Sarah Johnson hit two solo homeruns but it was not enough as the Tigers fell to William Jewell 6-2 on the opening day of the UAM 8-State Classic in Bentonville, Ark.,

As a team the Tigers could only muster five hits in the game, but three were for extra bases, including a double by Jocelyn Jones. The Tigers fell victim to eight strikeouts in the game by William Jewell starter Nona Pauline.

After falling behind, 2-0, Johnson's two-out homer in the top of the fourth made it a one run game. William Jewell scored three in the bottom of the fourth to make it a 5-1 game. Two of those runs were unearned. The Tigers would not score again until the top seventh, when Johnson led off the inning with her second homer of the day, Jones would reach second on her double, but the Tigers were unable to get the run home.,

Tiger pitching combined to allow six runs, four earned, on hits. Macy Nantz recorded two strikeouts in the three innings she pitched.,
