Box Score 2 ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers opened Great American Conference play on the road against Southeastern Oklahoma State. The Tigers dropped the first to games of a four-game series, 7-1 and 4-3.
Ouachita was held to just four hits in game one, with two if those coming from right fielder
Kate Lacina. Lacina accounted for the Tigers lone run with ,solo homerun over the centerfield wall in the top of the sixth inning.
Sarah Johnson and
Kelly Powell each had one hit for the Tigers.
Starter
Macy Nantz (2-3) took the loss for the Tigers.
In game two,
Sarah Johnson got the start for Ouachita. The Tigers tied it up on a single by
Alex Jennings to left in the second inning.
Jocelyn Jones came around to score on a throwing error. With the score tied 1-1, Southeastern scored two runs in the bottom of the third to take the lead.
A solo shot by
Sarah Johnson to left center cut the Savage Storm lead to one and in the top of the sixth, Lacina scored on a throwing error to make it 3-3. Southeastern retook the lead in the bottom of the sixth and held on to win 4-3.
The Tigers had eight hits in game two with
Alex Jennings going 3-3. Johnson and Lacina each had two hits in the game.
