Box Score 2 ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers fell in the final two games of a four -game series against Southeastern Oklahoma State that opened conference play. Ouachita came up just short in both games, losing 4-3 in game one and 9-4 in game two.
Jocelyn Jones put the Tigers on top 1-0 in the top of the second with a solo homerun. It was her second of the season. Southeastern answered with a two-run shot in the bottom of the same inning to take a 2-1 lead. The Tigers regained the lead in the top of the fifth, when a two-run single by
Jessica Branam drove in Daniela Brantley and Jones.
Southeastern responded in the bottom of the fifth with two runs and would hold on for a 4-3 win.
Jocelyn Jones continued with a hot bat in game two, putting the Tigers up 3-1 with a two-run single in the first inning and a RBI single in the third. Jones was went 3-3 in game two with three RBI. Southeastern's offense answered big in the bottom of the fourth inning, scoring eight runs to take a 9-3 lead.
Kate Lacina hit her second homerun of the series in the bottom of the sixth to make it a 9-4 game. It was her fifth homerun of the season. In all, the Tigers had a series-high 10 hits in game two.
The Tigers will travel to Magnolia, Ark. next weekend to take on the Lady Muleriders of SAU.
