Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers (3-3) were unable to hold an early lead and lost 7-3 to the Gorillas of Pittsburg State. The Tigers are now 1-2 at this weekends Quick Trip Classic in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Will Wallace put the Tigers up early with two RBI in the first three innings. Wallace hit a sacrifice fly in the first inning, scoring
Parker Norris from third. Wallace singled to center in the third inning allowing
Reuben Miller to score and give the Tigers a 2-0 lead heading into the fourth inning.
Pittsburg State answered in the top of the fourth inning with a three-run homer to deep left center. The homerun put the Gorillas up 3-2, a lead they would not relinquish. Pittsburg State would score again in the fifth, sixth and seventh inning extending their lead to 6-2. Ouachita had opportunites to cut into the lead but left runners in scoring position in the sixth and seventh innings.
Matt Sinclair came in to pitch for the Tigers in the eighth inning and quieted the Gorilla offense, allowing only one hit and leaving two Pittsburg State base runners stranded. The Tigers looked to rally in the bottom of the ninth, when freshman
Jakahari Howell singled to centerfield, driving in teammate
Austin White.
Thr rally would stop there and the Tigers would fall 7-3. Wallace and Miller each went 2-3 in the game, with Wallace driving in two and Miller scoring once.
Jace Melby and Howell would have the other two hits of the Tigers six total.
