In game one, the Cotton Blossoms (12-3, 6-0 GAC) scored first in the top of the first inning, but the Tigers responded immediately in the bottom of the inning. Down 1-0, four consecutive Tigers reached base safely to begin the inning, including an RBI-single by

The Cotton Blossoms took control in the third inning with a seven-run rally to take an 8-1 lead. The half-inning featured seven hits and one error, and eight consecutive batters reached base safely to begin the inning. Ouachita attempted to answer in the bottom of the inning when

Kaylie Roberts, but UAM escaped the inning after surrendering only the one run.
Nantz, who started at pitcher for the Tigers, was replaced by
Delaney Bedunah after three innings. Bedunah held the Cotton Blossoms to one hit and no runs over the final four innings, and she struck out three batters.
With three outs to go in the game, the Tigers attempted one more comeback.
Suzie Gresham led off the bottom of the seventh with a triple down the left field line, and she later scored on a sacrifice-fly by Powell. After back-to-back singles by
Kailey Madden and Johnson, the Cotton Blossoms recorded two outs to end the inning and earn the victory.
Nantz (3-6) was handed the loss for the Tigers, and UAM's Katie Slaughter (5-1) went the distance for the complete-game win.
The Cotton Blossoms were the first to score again in the second game, after a two-run second inning on one hit and two errors. Despite four hits by Ouachita over the first three innings, the Tigers were held scoreless until the bottom of the fourth inning. After a two-run top of the fourth to give UAM a 4-0 lead, Ouachita's
Emily Acuna singled, stole second and later scored from second base on an error.
UAM extended its lead in the fifth inning, scoring five runs on five hits. Down 9-1, the Tigers rallied in the bottom of the fifth inning. Powell led off with a single to left field, and she and Madden both scored two at-bats later on a double by Johnson. Bedunah then added to the scoring when she singled to center field to score Johnson. The Cotton Blossoms eventually recorded three outs, however, surrendering only three runs.
After the Cotton Blossoms scored four more runs in the top of the sixth, Powell attempted to start a rally with a one-out triple down the left field line, but two consecutive outs ended the game after six innings, 13-4.
Johnson (0-3) was handed the loss in game two, with Bedunah throwing 1.1 more scoreless innings.
Powell, Johnson and Acuna led the Tigers with two hits each, with Bedunah and Johnson each recording an RBI.
After Sunday's doubleheader between UAM was cancelled due to weather, The Tigers' (5-13, 1-8 GAC) next games will be a four-game series in Alva, Okla. against Northwestern Oklahoma State. The series will begin on Friday, March 13 at 1 p.m.
