Box Score 2 ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Tigers dropped their fourth and fifth straight games on Wednesday, losing a doubleheader against East Texas Baptist University 3-0 and 4-0.
Macy Nantz pitched all seven innings in game one and struck out five batters. Nantz allowed three runs but only one was earned due to errors.
Jessica Branam led the Tigers with two hits in the first game.
In the second game, ETBU grabbed an early lead off a two-run homer in the first inning. East Texas Baptist (19-2) then added a run in the fourth and fifth innings.
Jade Sones pitched all seven innings in game two. She allowed four runs, three earned, and struck out four batters.
The Tigers struggled offensively, recording three hits in the second game. Ouachita totaled nine hits on the day.
The Tigers (10-24, 6-17 GAC) will return to conference play on Friday. Ouachita will travel to Russellville, Ark. to take on Arkansas Tech. The first pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
