ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers baseball team travels to Alva, Oklahoma this weekend for a three-game GAC series versus Northwestern Oklahoma State. The Tigers are coming off a 3-1 road win earlier this week versus Hendrix College. The series begins on Friday, April 1 at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Saturday doubleheader beginning at noon.
Ouachita (8-21, 4-14) is looking for its first conference series win of the season. Two of the Tigers four road wins this season have come against GAC opponents.
Victor Draijer and
Ty Owens are leading the Tigers offensively in conference play. Draijer is hitting .316 and has 10 RBI on 18 hits. Owens leads the team in extra-base hits in GAC games with six doubles, one triple and two home runs. He has team-high .577 slugging percentage in GAC games.

Connor Reed and
Connor Eller each enter the series with two wins apiece. Reed leads the team with a 2.53 ERA, while Eller leads the team in strikeouts with 57.
John Franklin Matros will look to get his second win of the year this weekend. He's posted an ERA of 2.68 over his last two starts.
The Rangers (11-22, 8-10) swept Southern Nazarene in a three-game series this past weekend. They are lead offensively by Thomas Bess, who's hitting .355 and started every game for NWOSU this season. The Rangers have four players hitting over .300 this season. Starters Robert Lawhon, Pat Delano, Matt Bickford and Walker Wharton have a combined ERA of 3.94 through 26 starts.
