ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers' men's tennis team faced a tough opponent on Saturday at the Ward Tennis Center. The #29 Tigers fell to 5th-ranked Seward County Community College by a final of 8-1. The doubles tandem of
Lennart Lonnemann and Dan Kaplan picked up the Tigers lone win of the match. Head Coach
Craig Ward said the team will learn from the experiences gained today.
"Give credit to Seward for having a great team and a class bunch of guys," coach Ward said. "We have a very good team but they were better than us today. It gave us a few things to work on which will be very beneficial as we get further into the season."
Coach Ward was also very appreciative of the student turnout at today's match.
"I also want to thank the men from Sigma Alpha Sigma social club for coming out and cooking hamburgers. It helped us have a good home crowd to encourage us"
Ouachita returns to action on February 10. They travel to Midlothian, Texas to face St. Edward's University. The match is set to begin at 10:00 a.m.
