ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers' softball team prepares this weekend for a four-game home series versus the Tigers of East Central University. Ouachita (10-14, 4-8) will look to end a six game losing streak. East Central (14-10, 5-7) is 5-3 in its last two conference series. The series opens on Friday, March 17, with a doubleheader scheduled for 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. The series concludes with a doubleheader scheduled to begin at noon on Saturday, March 18.

By the Numbers 

• Ouachita currently ranks 10th in the GAC with a .248 team batting average. East Central's team average of .297 ranks 6th.
• Both teams are tied for 10th in the GAC with nine home runs each.
• Ouachita's pitching staff has a combined ERA of 3.33 and rank 7th int he GAC. East Central's ERA of 2.86 ranks 5th.
• Ouachita pitchers rank 6th in the GAC with 100 strike outs. 40 of hose were called looking, third-best in the conference.  

Players to Watch

Ouachita's Natalie Jackson leads the team with a .316 batting average. The second baseman has not committed an error in conference play this season. Sarah Johnson is tied for the team lead in hits, runs and home runs. She leads the team in triples and slugging percentage. Her 13 RBI trail only Daniella Brantley's team-high of 14. Starting picther Kelsey O'Brien leads the team in starts (11), wins (5) and strikeouts (45). Macy Nantz has team-low ERA of 3.80

For East Central, Alissa Taylor powers the offense with a .470 batting average and is the team's leader in seven offensive categories including hits, RBI, home runs and total bases. Starting pitchers Kelbie Crelia and Karlie Milburn have combined for 11 wins in the circle. Crelia leads ECU in strikeouts, ERA and innings pitched.
