Box Score Texarkana, Texas – The Tiger's baseball team (1-5 GAC, 5-9 Overall) fell to Texas A&M – Texarkana 10-3.
Bo Sutton started on the mound for the Tigers and gave up two runs in his two innings of pitching. In the bottom of the first, the Eagles led off with a hit and a walk. Both runners moved up on a wild pitch to second and third before coming into score on a single up the middle to take a 2-0 lead.
The Eagles were held scoreless the next four innings as Sutton closed out the second inning, and
Abe Young relieved Sutton for the third, fourth, and fifth innings. In the bottom of the sixth, the Eagles added two more runs to make it a 4-0 lead off of a pinch-hit double into left-centerfield.
Noah Fowler entered the game in relief for Young with the bases loaded and one out, and was able to record the next two outs off of a strikeout and a fielder's choice to Riebock at third base.
Ouachita responded the next inning with an infield single to third base from
Cade McBride, before
Aaron Studdard dropped a two-run homerun over the left-centerfield wall to cut the lead in half 4-2. As the next batter, Riebock drew a walk before
Louis Steen tripled to bring Ouachita to within a run 4-3. With one out in the inning, the Tigers attempted a squeeze bunt that unfortunately resulted in Steen being tagged out by the catcher.
The Eagles responded in the bottom of the next two innings, plating 6 runs off of six singles and a grand slam to put the game out of reach 10-3.
In the final inning, Steen drew a hit-by-pitch to reach first base before the next two Tigers recorded outs to end the game.
