Impact Players

Pitching: Marissa Butler

Marissa Butler comes into the series going 5-1 since starting the season 0-6. Butler is third in the Great American Conference with 73 strikeouts. She has only allowed 38 earned runs on the season and opponents are only hitting .272 off of her. This will be her last chance to face the Reddies at home with this being her senior season. Look for Butler to be a key factor in the matchups. Butler holds a 2-2 record against the Reddies.

Batting: Macy Wilson

Macy Wilson comes into the games red hot from the plate. In the past two weekends she has gone 8-20 scoring five times. She has driven in 14 runners and has blasted three home runs. She has been the defensive captain in center field making great plays to help the Tigers win. This will be the second time Wilson will participate in the Battle of the Ravine as she went 2-6 with an RBI in 2016.

New Faces

The Tigers welcome 11 new faces to the heated rivalry. Freshman Jillian Jones leads the team in batting average and on base percentage. Fellow freshman Mabry Smith is in the top 10 in strikeouts for the Great American Conference and has a record of 5-5 on the year. Callie Jourdan who is also a freshman has stolen 9 bases out of 10 attempts and is in the top 11 for that in the GAC. Interim Coach Leslie Dean will also make her Battle of the Ravine debut.
