Tigers Host Crimson Storm in Next GAC Matchup

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Tigers (2-4 GAC, 6-8 Overall) take on the Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm (0-6 GAC, 5-10 Overall) in a three-game series this weekend.
 
This Season
Southern Nazarene is currently 5-10 on the season. They opened up their season with four straight losses in the Alpine Fresh 4 HIM Classic in Cleburne, Texas. They took losses to Colorado Christian, the University of Mary, Rogers State, and Wayne State College, 6-11, 5-12, 3-14, and 4-10 respectively. They then met up with Oklahoma Panhandle State in a four-game series and swept them with 7-1, 9-7, 4-2, and 6-5 wins. In both Great American Conference series this season, Southern Nazarene has been swept by Northwestern Oklahoma State University and East Central University. Northwestern won all three games 13-1, 3-2, and 14-4 and then East Central followed suit with 11-10, 19-4, and 9-4 wins. The Crimson Storm picked up their fifth win of the season on Tuesday with a 7-6 win over Mid-America Christian.
 
Last Year
The Crimson Storm finished in last place in the GAC last year with a 3-30 record, 9-34 overall.

The Tigers swept the Crimson Storm in 2019 with straight wins – 10-0, 1-0, and 8-3 respectively.

The Tigers will likely face Brett Rexroad, Triston Graves, and Trever Smith as the weekend starters. Their stats are as follows:

The Tigers will take on the Crimson Storm on Friday at 2:00 p.m. and Saturday for a double-header with first pitch set at 12:00 p.m.
