Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Tigers took down the Christian Brothers Bucs 7-5 on opening day to begin the season 1-0.
Madi Miller (1-0) picked up the win for Ouachita in a complete game seven inning performance. She gave up three earned runs on five hits, striking out five.
Tobi Finley jump started the Tiger offense with two hits and two RBI in the first two innings. Kendal Moyer went 2-3 with an RBI and a walk. Sloane Precure joined the multi-hit crew with two.
The Tigers scored the first run of the game on a Finley single to center. Christian Brothers answered with a solo bomb in the second, but Madi Miller delivered a solo shot of her own putting the Tigers back in front.
CBU would tie it up in the third 3-3, but the Tigers offense was too much for the Bucs to handle as Ouachita would continue to stretch their lead in the final innings.
For the first time since 2017, Ouachita started its season 1-0. Christian Brothers dropped to 2-3. For all things Ouachita softball, stay tuned to obutigers.com
