KANSAS CITY, Missouri – Ouachita Baptist University December 2022 graduate
Jaymee Dotson has been selected to the 2022 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Women's Scholar All-America Team.
Dotson finished up her collegiate career this past fall with her fifth year playing for the Tigers. She has earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and pre-professional studies with a minor in psychology.
The Princeton, Texas native led the Tigers to their fourth consecutive winning season in 2022 with a final overall record of 9-5-5 and a 6-1-5 record in Great American Conference games for a second-place finish in the league. Dotson was the team's leading scorer this season with seven goals and one assist for 15 points.
Earlier in the 2022 awards season, Dotson was selected as the GAC Midfielder of the Year for a second straight season, and earned a spot on the All-GAC First Team for a fifth consecutive season. She was also selected to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-Region First Team and All-America Third Team. She was also named to the 2022 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Student-athletes on this year's Scholar All-America Teams will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
