PORTLAND, Texas – The Ouachita Baptist University softball team wrapped up its participation in the Portland, Texas Classic on Saturday with a 9-0 loss to St. Mary's and a 9-1 loss to Texas A&M-Kingsville.
In the St. Mary's game, the Tigers were limited to just two hits. Hope Waid and Kyndal Moyer each had one hit in the game to account for the Tiger offense.
In Ouachita's second game against TAMU-Kingsville of the weekend, the Tigers reached the scoreboard in the top of the fifth inning with a solo homerun by Reagann Harper, her first career extra-base hit and her first RBI.
The Tigers are back at home next week with a double-header against Central Baptist College on Tuesday and four more games next weekend at Sully Anderson Field in the Ouachita-Henderson State Tournament.
