PITTSBURG, Kansas – The Ouachita Baptist University women's track and field team opened the 2022 season this weekend at the Pittsburg State Gorilla Indoor Classic.
The Tigers had their best performance of the weekend in the distance relay. In the 4,000 medley relay, Ouachita's team of Jaci McGregor, Alexis Perry, Izzi Breaux, and Mackenzie Davis came in 11th with a time of 12:37.86.
In the 4x400 meter relay, the Tigers came in 26th with Laynie White, Rebekah Wendt, Perry, and McGregor posting a time of 4:13.26.
In the 5,000-meter run, Kristen Holeyfield set a new personal record, coming in 34th at 19:16.45.
In the 3,000-meter run, Davis placed 11th with a time of 10:35.33. Macie Cash came in 21st at 10:40.53. Becca Beard came in 34th at 10:47.75.
In the 600-yard run, Wendt came in 17th at 1:34.13, and White came in 22nd at 1:36.59 in her Ouachita debut.
In the mile, McGregor came in 26th with a time of 5:10.37.
In the 800-meter run, Breaux posted a time of 2:40.91.
Up next on the schedule is the Southern Arkansas Open on February 26 in Magnolia.
