ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Baptist University softball team finished off a 4-1 week on Sunday with a 6-3 victory over Christian Brothers at home.
The Tigers (4-9) took the lead in the second inning on an RBI double by
Callie Jourdan. That lead was short-lived as the Buccaneers (3-9) scored one in the top of the third to tie the game.
Ouachita got back on the scoreboard with runs in each of the next three innings. In the fourth, the Tigers scored on a CBU error and an RBI double by
Kyndal Moyer. In the fifth,
Jillian Jones drove in a run with a deep flyball to center field. In the sixth,
Jessalyn Ahrens gave Ouachita a 6-2 lead with a two-run single. CBU scored one in the top of the seventh for the final margin.
Moyer, Jourdan, and Ahrens all ended the game with two hits each. Ouachita had 10 hits as a team.

Madison Miller (3-2) earned her third complete-game victory of the week, allowing just one earned run off four hits in her seven innings of work.
The Tigers are set to travel to Denton, Texas on Tuesday for a non-conference double-header against Texas Woman's University before coming back home to host Oklahoma Baptist next weekend to start Great American Conference play.
