ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Baptist University softball team has gone from last place in the Great American Conference to a berth in to the league's championship tournament thanks in part to recent success on the road.

The Tigers (17-26, 13-17 GAC) have won six straight games on the road, sweeping Arkansas-Monticello in a three-game series April 8-9 and most recently taking all three at East Central this past weekend. Ouachita has a chance to do it again this weekend, wrapping up the regular season in Bethany, Oklahoma against Southern Nazarene (22-23, 18-11 GAC).

Ouachita can finish either seventh or eighth in the league depending on this weekend's results, pitting the Tigers against the No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the GAC tournament, scheduled for May 5-7 in Bentonville.
