ANDREWS NAMED DIVING COACH

ARKADELPHIA – Auburn University graduate and two-time Southeastern Conference diving finalist Logan Andrews has been hired as the new diving coach at Ouachita Baptist University.

Andrews competed at Auburn from 2017-21, where he earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science. He was a four-year letterman for the Tigers, a four-time NCAA zone qualifier, a two-time SEC finalist, a CSCAA Scholar All-America honoree in 2020, and a member of the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll. He was also a part of numerous community service trips in Auburn, Alabama area during his collegiate career.

"Coach (Dawson) Pritchard and I are thrilled for Logan to joining the Tigershark family," said Ouachita Head Swimming & Diving Coach Steven Bostick. "Logan understands and is committed to our team goals of living a Christ-centered life, academic excellence, and athletic performance. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our coaching staff on the boards. Auburn for years has had one of the top strength and conditioning programs for Olympic sports, and I look forward to implementing all Logan has learned from his student-athlete experience. I'm confident under his leadership, we will become one of the fastest growing and improving diving programs in all of D2."

Andrews is originally from Lafayette, Indiana, where he dove for Greater Lafayette Area Diving until his freshman year of high school. For the remainder of his prep career, he dove for Carolina Diving Academy in Huntersville, North Carolina.

Concurrently during his collegiate career, he also served as an assistant diving coach at Foxcroft East Racquet & Swim Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. After graduating from Auburn, he was an assistant coach at the Carolina Diving Academy for 10 months before moving into the business sector to work with Goosehead Insurance.

"I am beyond excited to work with Coach Bostick and Coach Pritchard and to share my passion for the sport I love," said Andrews.
