ARKADELPHIA – Ouachita baseball coach Luke Howard has revealed his team's schedule for the upcoming 2024 season, which begins February 1.

The 2024 schedule has 48 games against NCAA Division II competition, 46 games against in-region competition, 33 Great American Conference games, 20 home games, and 11 games against teams that made it to the NCAA tournament in 2023.

Ouachita once again opens up its season at the Mike Dugan Collegiate Baseball Invitational, which will be played at Hot Spring's Majestic Park and at Henderson State's Clyde Berry Field. The Tigers play Northeastern State twice to start the year at Majestic Park on February 1-2, and then take on Colorado School of Mines on February 3 at HSU.

The Tigers have four games against Missouri Southern early in the schedule. The Lions hosted a NCAA regional tournament last year and finished the season with a record of 45-17. This year, the Tigers and Lions will meet on February 4 in Hot Springs and then two squads will play a three-game series in Joplin, Missouri February 9-11.

The GAC slate of games starts February 16-17 on the road against Northwestern Oklahoma State.

Ouachita will be at Rab Rodgers Field for the first time February 23-24 in a three-game GAC series against Southwestern Oklahoma State.

The GAC tournament will feature the same format as last year with the top four seeds hosting three-game series May 3-5 and the winners of those series advancing to a double-elimination tournament for the championship May 10-12.

The Tigers are coming off their second straight NCAA tournament appearance last year with a final record of 37-19, which was the most successful season for the program in 15 years. A total of 19 lettermen are back from last year's team, including All-American outfielder G. Allen, all-region shortstop and relief pitcher Dustin Bermudez, all-region starting pitcher Cooper Timmons, all-conference catcher Michael Quinones, and all-conference starting pitcher Luke House.
