MARSHALL, Minnesota – Ouachita Baptist University junior left fielder G. Allen has been selected to the 2023 NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-America Honorable Mention Team after leading the Tigers to the program's most successful season in 15 years.

Allen becomes Ouachita's first All-America selection since Will Gowdy earned first team honors from the NCBWA in 2009. Allen is one of 12 outfielders across the country at the D2 level to earn All-America honors by the D2CCA this season.

The Little Rock, Arkansas native led Ouachita in most offensive categories this season, including batting average (.378), slugging percentage (.656), runs scored (60), hits (79), triples (4), homeruns (12), total bases (137), and stolen bases (13). He also led the team in multiple-hit games with 26, including eight games with at least three.

Allen's honor roll this season includes the All-Great American Conference First Team, the NCBWA All-Region First Team, the D2CCA All-Region First Team, and the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team. In addition to his on-field performance, Allen is also a leader in the classroom. He was selected as Ouachita's Male Scholar Athlete of the Year for 2022-23, and has now posted four consecutive semesters with a perfect 4.0 GPA since enrolling at Ouachita in Fall of 2021.

With the aid of Allen's performance this past season, Ouachita posted its second consecutive year with at least 30 wins, along with the program's second straight at-large selection to the NCAA tournament. The Tigers broke their 2022 record for conference wins in 2023 with a final GAC record of 23-10, which was good for second place in the league during the regular season. Ouachita finished 37-19 overall this year, marking the most wins since the 2009 Tigers (37-20).
