HOLLY SPRINGS, North Carolina – Ouachita baseball's G. Allen has been selected to participate in the 2023 Coastal Plain League All-Star festivities July 18-19 in Lexington County, North Carolina.

Allen's on-field success from the 2023 spring season with the Tigers has carried over into the summer in the CPL wooden bat summer league, where is playing for the Forest City Owls. He is currently second on the team this summer with a .350 batting average (28-for-80) to go along with eight doubles, three homeruns, 31 RBI, 15 walks, three sac flies, and a team-high 12 stolen bases.

The CPL all-star teams were selected by the league's head coaches, assistant coaches, broadcasters and local media representatives from each market.

The Little Rock native was an All-American both athletically and academically this past season for the Tigers. He was also an All-GAC and all-region first team honoree. In addition to his Academic All-America honor, he was also selected as Ouachita's Male Scholar Athlete of the Year for 2022-23.
